11月15日，第十一届“外教社杯”全国高校外语教学大赛河北赛区决赛在河北大学举行，河北省教育厅一级巡视员王廷山出席了本次比赛并讲话。来自全省各高校的近100名青年教师参加了本次比赛。经过激烈角逐，我校教师牛冀莲获得大学英语组唯一的特等奖，王子贤以英语专业组第二名的成绩获得一等奖。我校取得的成绩列所有参赛高校首位。

本次外语教学大赛命题具有时代性，紧密围绕立德树人的根本任务，探索课程思政与外语教育的有机融合。每位参赛选手随机抽取一篇1000字左右的文章，备课30分钟，之后进行10分钟的说课和5分钟的评委问答。比赛中，我校选手教师沉着应对，以产出导向法、任务教学法等先进的教育理论为指导，灵活运用U校园平台、超星SPOC平台等线上资源和思维导图等教育技术，融课程思政于语言教学之中，在教学设计中充分体现了教学内容的创新性、高阶性和挑战度。我校教师以扎实的语言功底，先进的教育理念，新颖的教学手段，特色突出的展示效果赢得了评委们的高度评价。

“外教社杯”全国高校外语教学大赛是由教育部高等学校外国语言文学类专业教学指导委员会、教育部高等学校大学外语教学指导委员会、教育部职业院校外语类专业教学指导委员会和上海外语教育出版社联合主办的一项全国范围的高校外语教师教学类比赛。该比赛自2010年起，每年举办一届，现已发展成为国内参赛范围最广、影响力最大、权威性最高的外语教师教学比赛。（作者：赵洁）

CFL Teachers Excel in Finals of Teaching Contest

On November 15th, the finals of the 11th SFLEP CUP National College Foreign Language Teaching Contest of Hebei Province was held in Hebei University. Wang Tingshan, Counsel Level 1 of Hebei Education Department, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. About 100 young teachers from universities across Hebei Province participated in the contest. After a tense competition, Niu Jilian from our university won the grand prize, the only top winner in the College English group. Wang Zixian, also from HAU, secured the first prize in the English major group, ranking the 2nd on the list. HAU ranked No. 1 among all the participating universities.

The theme of this foreign language teaching contest reflects features of the times, closely focusing on the fundamental task of moral education, and striving to integrate ideological and political education of curriculum with foreign language teaching. Each contestant was required to randomly select an essay of about 1,000 words, prepare for 30 minutes, give a 10-minute lecture and answer related questions for 5 minutes. Throughout the competition, the contestants of HAU stayed calm and responded with confidence. Guided by advanced educational theories like output-oriented approach and task-based teaching method, they incorporated ideological and political education of curriculum into language teaching by making flexible use of online resources such as U-Campus platform and Superstar SPOC platform, as well as educational technologies like mind map. Meanwhile, their teaching designs proved to best fit the “high-level, innovative and challenging” standards. Their solid language skills, advanced education philosophy, innovative teaching approaches, unique and effective presentations, all helped them earn high ratings from the judges.

Jointly organized by National Advisory Committee on Teaching Foreign Languages to Majors in Higher Education under the Ministry of Education, College Foreign Language Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Education, Teaching Steering Committee of Foreign Language Majors in Vocational Colleges under the Ministry of Education, and Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press, the SFLEP CUP National College Foreign Language Teaching Contest is a nationwide contest for foreign language teachers in colleges and universities.The contest has been held once a year since 2010 and has now developed into a foreign language teacher teaching contest with the widest participation, the most influential and prestigious annual event of its kind in China.(Translatedby Chen Qianwen, MTI 2020)
